Public Celebration of Mass
Because of the restricted capacity in Church due to social-distancing measures, it will be necessary for anyone hoping to attend Mass to first book a place through contacting the Parish Priest either by email or telephoning the Parish Office.
Public Mass is currently being celebrated on Tuesday mornings at 10am & on Sunday morning at 9am & 11am. If you wish to attend, it is essential that you book an available place due to the limited numbers allowed in Church at any one time. You will need to book for each Mass you wish to attend.
It is envisaged that those who are either elderly, not-working or shielding attend the Tuesday Mass up to the Church's current seating capacity of 20 places & others & those in work are given preference at the Sunday Mass slots.
Please bring & use a face-covering & sanitise your hands upon entering & exiting the Church.
Stewards will direct you to places allocated in Church for worshippers. There will be a one-way direction of travel in Church, so please listen to any instructions as announced.
Numbers are currently severely limited to 20 persons in Church at any one time given the current social-distancing rules.
There will be no toilet or kitchen facilities available.
Please remain at home if you have a pre-existing condition, or if you are feeling ill, if you have a sick family member at home, or you suspect you may be ill or have been exposed to Covid 10.
The Church will be disinfected after each Mass.
Mass will perhaps seem short & basic. No readers, Eucharistic Ministers, no bidding prayers, no offertory, singing/music, no sign of peace, but at least its a start!
Please refrain from congregating at or just inside the church doors, following distancing guidelines.
Currently, the Obligation to attend Mass on a Sunday is removed, so if there is no available space at one Mass, then please book one of the other available days for Mass.
Many thanks to all those who have so kindly volunteered to act as stewards & cleaners at each & every Mass. Without your help, we simply cannot open for Mass.
Please, if you are able to, do consider volunteering for these important roles by dropping me a line.
There are no Mass Intentions currently, so if you would like a Mass offered for an Intention, please just pop it in an envelope with the Offering & return it to Fr. either at the Presbytery or in Church.
